Dental Implants
Fixed Detachable 5 Implant

Transcript:
This movie shows two Upper lateral incisor teeth replaced with implants. The two lateral incisors in this case needed to be extracted, dental implants were placed at the same time as the extractions as well as temporary crowns. These crowns are placed slightly out of occlusion to prevent overload and the permanent crowns are placed a few months later. This case shows post that are metal.

Dental Implants
Upper Jaw Multiple Implant

Transcript:
Multiple tooth replacement with implants is the same as the single tooth replacement, there are just more implants placed. Fixed replacement is followed by a waiting. Then posts and cores are secured to the implants with small screws to give the area structure. They are then covered with crowns to replace the patient’s teeth.

Tooth Whitening

Transcript:
This movie demonstrates how teeth that have no restorations can become whiter with different whitening techniques.

Porcelain Veneers

Transcript:
This movie shows how we can correct multiple lower and upper anterior spacing between teeth. First the teeth are prepared slightly and the veneers are bonded to them. By having the veneer slightly wider it will eliminate the spacing between the teeth. The slight increase in the width of the teeth is not as noticeable as the original spacing. Sometimes the teeth are too narrow and this procedure will make them look more proportional as well.

Inlay and Onlay

Transcript:
For a ceramic inlay the cavity is prepared just enough to remove the decay with a divergent profile. The fabricated inlay is then bonded in place.

Complete Dentures

Transcript:
Here we see four implants being placed in the lower jaw, followed by a bar which connects the implants and secured to them with screws. Metal Clips snapped fit on this bar. These clips are part of the denture and hold it in place while the bar provides support. These clips produce about 5lb of retention each and make the denture very stable. This is an example of implant-supported removable full denture.

Partial Dentures

Transcript:
This movie demonstrates the replacement of several posterior teeth with a partial denture. After extractions the tissues will atrophy. For best support and fit, small preparations are made on the teeth. These are called rests, the rests are very small and shallow and the teeth that are adjacent to the missing tooth space are prepared. The partial denture replaces the teeth and the atrophied gums on both sides and the two sides are connected by a thin metal bar. These tooth supported dentures have metal extensions that fit perfectly into the rest preparations and therefore the denture rests on the teeth and not on the gums. The denture also has clasps that fit around the teeth to keep the dentures in place.

Crowns

Transcript:
This movie demonstrates how a full porcelain crown is made on a heavily restored tooth. All the weak areas of the tooth are removed with a drill to about 1 to 2 millimeters thickness. The full porcelain crown then replaces the removed to structure.

Fixed Bridges

Transcript:
A bridge involves cutting down the teeth on both sides of the missing area. In this situation there is one missing tooth and therefore we need to cut down two teeth. A three-unit bridge which is two crowns connected by a false tooth is then cemented on the prepared teeth to replace the missing tooth.

Esthetic Dentistry

Transcript:
This movie shows how we can use crowns to restore teeth that have been chipped. The teeth are prepared as with a standard crown encompassing the chipped areas. The crowns are then placed on the prepared teeth to restore them to their original shape and size.
