My Specialized Training for Dental Oncologist

Encino, CA based Prosthodontist and Dental Oncologist
Many know that I am a Board Certified Prosthodontist. However, I am frequently what specialized training I have received as a Dental Oncologist.
Besides the four years of dental school where we’re exposed to the knowledge of oral cancer and oral pathology, as a prosthodontist went through a two-year hospital residency. Beyond that, where dental oncology becomes a sub-specialty is in the field of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, which is a very long-winded name for the specialty involving treatment of cancer patients.
My specific training in that field was at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City which consistently named the finest cancer treatment center in the world. It was a real honor to spend a year of my life there working exclusively with cancer patients. That is where I got the intensive training and knowledge and ability to take care of people who are going through the worst of the worst cancer therapy.
